Village walks plus one longer forest day hike.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Up to Ziro

    Drive into the valley and meet your host family in Hong village.

  2. Day 2

    The paddies

    Walk the rice-fish fields with a farmer and taste home-brewed apong.

  3. Day 3

    Talley Valley

    A full day hike in the Talley Valley wildlife sanctuary, with a forest permit we arrange.

  4. Day 4

    Hari and Hija

    Walk between villages and pine forests. A last evening by your hosts' fire.

  5. Day 5

    Back down

    Drive out of the valley for onward travel.

This is our usual route. Every trip is adjusted to your dates, pace and group, and weather sometimes rearranges a day.
