Boat rides and short walks.

Day by day

1. Day 1

   Imphal

   Ima Keithel, the market run entirely by women, and a Manipuri dance performance when one is on.

2. Day 2

   Out onto Loktak

   Drive to Moirang and take a boat out to the phumdis. Night in a floating homestay.

3. Day 3

   Sangai at dawn

   Keibul Lamjao, the floating national park, at first light. Sendra viewpoint, then back to Imphal.

4. Day 4

   Departure

   Transfer to Imphal airport.

This is our usual route. Every trip is adjusted to your dates, pace and group, and weather sometimes rearranges a day.

Permits

Inner Line Permit for Indian citizens; foreign nationals register on arrival. We arrange both.

What to pack

• Binoculars for the sangai deer
• A warm layer for early boat rides
